MOST INFLUENTIAL ALBUM

DETAILS | FROU FROU

I just about transcended when I heard Imogen Heap’s “Hide and Seek” for the first time, not knowing that music could have that effect on me. I dove into her entire discography (highly recommend) and just when I thought music itself couldn’t get any better, I discovered her project ‘Frou Frou’ and their debut record, “Details.” Absolutely no skips — that record opened my mind to all kinds of new creative possibilities and still inspires me the most out of any album. Imogen has never been afraid to take risks — her unfamiliar, dissonant melodies and honest, unfiltered lyrics are what I cling onto most. Not to mention, the out-of-this-world production, with dreamy synths and multidimensional beats. Everything about the record is perfectly chaotic. Discovering “Details” made me feel like I had found my musical soulmate.
