LANEY JONES

Laney Jones is a Nashville based singer-songwriter and performer. Jones grew up in central Florida among kangaroos (that her parents raised) playing chess, basketball, and working at the local community theaters. Jones has always had a sense of wonder about life that is reflected in her music, whether it be for television and film or her own national touring band.

Up to that point, I was a middle schooler on a stable musical diet of late 90s/early 2000s top 40 music. This album, with its musical simplicity, had depth and calmness that I had never experience before. I wanted to spend more time with it. For me, it redefined what music could be and turned it into a personal experience.
