JUSTIN AMUNDRUD

Justin Amundrud is a Nashville-based producer and multi-instrumentalist. Inspired by a wide range of artists and producers such as James Blake, Ludwig Göransson, Frank Ocean and FINNEAS, he loves to collaborate with artists across the musical spectrum to find the overlap between the familiar and unexpected. While still a newcomer to the pop scene, his songs have accumulated over 130 million plays on Spotify alone and has contributed (producer and writer) to three Grammy nominated records. In 2019, his song “Getting Started” won the Season 1 episode of NBC’s “Songland” for “Fast & Furious presents Hobbs and Shaw” performed by Aloe Blacc and J.I.D. His work has been featured and performed on the TODAY Show, MTV, Freeform, Apple TV+ shows and ads for Land Rover, Under Armour and more.

This record blew my mind when it first dropped. The unpredictable arrangements and synthetic moods really impacted me when I was first dipping my toes into the world of production when I was in high school. More so than any particular song on this record, James Blake's development musical (and career-wise) from this point really stuck with me. Going from this to collaborations with Travis Scott, Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar and more is hugely inspiring.
