The married duo of Josh & Nicole Johnson makes up ELENOWEN. The couple joined forces & released their debut album in 2010. Performing as contestants on the first season of The Voice, the duo was able to grow their fan base, tour extensively, & release music through independent labels, landing them song placements in various TV shows & films. After years of setting music aside to focus on their family, the duo is back with an album of reimagined versions of their most popular songs, & continues to evolve in their writing, recording, & touring.

David Gray’s “White Ladder” is the first that comes to mind. His blend of acoustic/organic elements & electronic drum loops opened my mind to all the possibilities of mixing different sounds & styles. It’s so solid from top to bottom.

Nicole: RUMOURS | FLEETWOOD MAC

Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours” hooked me from the first listen. I loved the harmonies & mixture of pop & rock music…and of course, Stevie Nicks. Game over.
