MOST INFLUENTIAL ALBUM

EVERYBODY | INGRID MICHAELSON

I was obsessed with this record in high school. I listened to it so much that I wore out the CD in my car. This was the record that inspired me to pursue music production—before that, I only sang and wrote songs. I loved picking apart all the layers of guitars, ukeleles, string parts, and especially the vocal harmonies and counterparts. It was my blueprint for diving into producing my own music, and in fact, I used to do soundalikes of the songs and replicate it to learn how it was made. I owe a lot as a producer to this album, and it will always have a special place in my heart.
