JILIAN LINKLATER

Lake Orion, Michigan born singer-songwriter Jilian Linklater wanted to be a pediatrician before she came to Nashville almost seven years ago. But when she discovered that songwriting was a viable career path on a trip she won to Nashville in 2008, she packed up her songs, moved to music city and put her career in medicine to rest. After a 4 year run at Belmont University  she simultaneously majored in songwriting and broke the high jump record wherefor the Bruin’s track team, her success has further proven she chose the correct career path.

Jilian has had song placements in Amazon series ‘Eat the World’ with Emeril Lagasse, NBC's American Ninja Warrior, A&E’s ‘Born This Way,’ and Degrassi. Her EP “Walking Stories” has accumulated over 6 million streams collectively on Spotify.

MOST INFLUENTIAL ALBUM

LIVE AT THE TROUBADOR | JAMES TAYLOR & CAROLE KING

I was in high school when I came across this album at the public library in my home town. I loved it because you can feel the comfortableness that James Taylor and Carole King have with each other musically because they had been playing together for so many years, but you can also just feel the energy in the room with every applause and cheer after each song. But the reason this album is extremely important to me is because it was my very first introduction to James Taylor and Carole King and without the introduction into their music I truly believe my music would not be the same.
